One of the biggest names in Canadian country music, and the newest member of the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, Michelle Wright will do a special concert in Nelson at the Capitol Theatre on Tuesday Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. Wright will be on her Canadian tour "Songs From the Halls" which will take her right across Canada to celebrate her induction into the Hall of Fame. In her first set she will perform her greatest hits in near chronological order including, Take it Like a Man, He would be Sixteen, Guitar Talk, One Good Man, Safe in the Arms of Love, I Surrender, Rock Me Gently, The Answer is Yes, and many more. In her second set, the audience will hear a spectacular collection of world-class songs from members of various Halls of Fame, whose music, be it country, pop, soul or  rock, has inspired Michelle throughout her career, from Anne Murray and Merle Haggard to Aretha Franklin and Michael Jackson.

Since her 1990 Arista/Nashville self-titled album, Michelle Wright has sold nearly two million albums in the United States and Canada, and enjoyed an international career that has seen her grace concert stages across North America, Europe, Africa and Australia. Michelle has amassed 25 Top Ten hits and has accepted more than 40 major North American music awards.
