The 11th Annual Bluegrass Jamboree is July 13, 14 and 15 at the Pass Creek Exhibition Grounds near Castlegar. It's amateur music at its finests, with string instruments only. All proceeds from the jamboree go to the Pass Creek Regional Exhibition Society.
The music starts on Friday, July 13 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., followed by "parking lot pickin'." On Saturday there's a pancake breakfast starting at 7 a.m.,, a band scramble at 10 a.m., and an open mike from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Sunday, there's a pancake breakfast starting at 7 a.m., and bluegrass gospel music on the stage starting at 10 a.m.
